Shift Indicator - A/T: Testing and Inspection
Indicator Input TestSRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures in the SRS section before performing repairs or service.
1. Remove the gauge assembly from the dashboard, and disconnect the 30P and 22P connectors from the gauge assembly.
2. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, make the following input tests at the 30P and 22P connectors.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, but the indicator is faulty, replace the printed circuit board.
