Seats: Description and Operation

How the Circuit Works

Battery voltage is supplied at all times through fuses 19, 20, 22, and 23 to the driver's and passenger's power seat switches. The driver's power seat switch is grounded at G401 and the passenger's power seat switch is grounded at G403.

When you move the driver's power seat slide switch to FWD, battery voltage is supplied through the FWD switch contacts to the driver's seat slide motor, grounding the motor through the BWD switch contacts to G401, and the motor moves the seat forward. When you move the slide switch to BWD, battery voltage is supplied through the BWD switch contacts to the driver's seat slide motor, grounding the motor through the FWD switch contacts to G401, and the motor moves the seat backward.

The other switches and motors operate in a similar way.
