DTC P0133: A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) Slow Response*

NOTE:
- Information marked with an asterisk (*) applies to '04 model.
- If DTC P1162 is stored at the same time as DTC P1163, troubleshoot DTC P1162 first, then recheck for DTC P1163 ('02-03 models).

1. Reset the ECM/PCM.
2. Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm with no load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.
3. Test-drive under following conditions.
- 55 mph (89 km/h) steady speed
- A/T in D4 (M/T in 5th gear)
- Until readiness code or Temporary DTC P1163 (P 0133)* and/or P1163 (P0133)* comes on

4. Check for a Temporary DTC with the scan tool or the HDS.

Is Temporary DTC P1163 (P0133)* and/or P1163 (P0133)* indicated?

YES - Replace the A/F Sensor (Sensor 1).

NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) and the ECM/PCM.
