Audio-HVAC Subdisplay-Clock Does Not Work Properly
Audio-HVAC Subdisplay-clock does not work properly1. Check the connections at the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock 10P connector and the display panel control unit connector E (22P).
Are the connections and terminals connected properly?
YES - Go to step 2.
NO - Repair the connection and recheck.
2. Disconnect the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock 10P connector and display panel control unit connector E (22P).
3. Check for continuity between the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock 10P connector and the display panel control unit connector E (22P) terminals for each wire listed in the chart.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Repair the open in the wire between the display panel control unit and the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock.
4. Check for continuity between each audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock 10P connector terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the shielded harness between the display panel control unit and the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock.
NO - Go to step 5.
5. Check the same wires for continuity to terminal No. 8 (BRN/BLK) wire of the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock 10P connector.
Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the shielded harness between the audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock and the display panel control unit.
NO - Go to step 5.
6. Substitute a known-good audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock and recheck.
Does the subdisplay work properly?
YES - Replace the original audio-HVAC subdisplay-clock.
NO - Substitute a known-good display panel control unit and retest. If the problem is gone, replace the original display panel control unit.
