SYMPTOM
The rearview mirror is loose at the windshield, allowing it to vibrate while driving.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The mounting spring inside the mirror bracket is deformed.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rearview mirror from the windshield.
^ Refer to the Body section of the appropriate service manual, or
^ Online, enter keyword MIRROR, and select Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror Replacement or Rearview Mirror Replacement from the list.
2. Remove the screw and the spring from the mirror bracket.
3. Install the new spring to the mirror bracket. The spring must be seated all the way down when you tighten the screw. Make sure the wiring harness is not pinched.
4. Reinstall the rearview mirror to the windshield.
