DTC 113: Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module

1. Check the gauge control module with the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

Is the gauge control module OK?

YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Replace the gauge control module and recheck.

2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) and the adaptive cruise control (ACC) switch ON.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 113 indicated?

YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the 20P connector from the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.
7. Disconnect the gauge control module connector B (28P).




8. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and gauge control module connector B (28P) No. 16 terminal.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).




9. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and gauge control module connector B (28P) No. 15 terminal.

Is there continuity?

YES - Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.

NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANL).
