DTC 31, 33, 35, 37: Tire Pressure Sensor Low Battery Voltage

NOTE: This problem can occur when the temperature around the sensor is -40°F (-40°C) or less, Note that the diagnosis must be made in a place where ambient temperature is -4°F (-20°C) or more.

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Does the TPMS indicator go off within one minute?
YES - The system is OK at this time. Clear the DTC.
NO - Go to step 2.

2. Read the tire pressure sensor transmitter battery status with the HDS. If not defined is shown on the HDS, turn the ignition switch OFF, rotate the tire 1/4 turn, then turn the ignition switch ON (II), and try again. If there is no response after making a complete rotation, replace the tire pressure sensor (s) that have no response.





Is the battery sensor bad?
YES - Replace the tire pressure sensor.
NO - Check for loose terminals and poor connections at the TPMS control unit. If necessary, substitute a known-good TPMS control unit and recheck.
