AcuraLink

System Description

The AcuraLink uses the client's portable telephone or XM radio to transmit and receive information about the vehicle. It is controlled via serial data communication by using a remote display and control unit in the vehicle. For Honda specific XM data, the remote display and control unit is the navigation unit. In addition, the AcuraLink system has a Text-To-Speech engine, and will also have the capability to intiate voice or data calls with the HandsFreeLink control unit.
