Overcoat Clear Coat Polishing Repair




1. Using waterproof P2000 sandpaper (A) the surface together with soap and water or water in fixed direction. After the surface becomes flat and smooth.Wipe off the remaining particles.

NOTE: Be careful not to polish too much to remove the overcoat clear coat.




2. With finer compound, polish the surface with a single action polisher (A) set with wool buff (B) to take off sandpaper mark.

NOTE: Be careful not to polish too much to remove the overcoat clear coat.




3. With ultra fine compound, polish the surface with a double action polisher (A) set with sponge buff (B) (for ultra fine compound) to area of step 2 with a margin, and take off polishing mark.

NOTE: Press the polisher very lightly on the surface to be polished.

4. Wipe off the remaining particles with a tack cloth, and make sure viewing from low angle that there are no scratches.




5. Glossing.
- Using slender buff with ultra fine compound, polish the painted surface.
- Press the polisher (A) very lightly on the surface to be polished.
