SYMPTOM

The high mount brake light cover is loose or falls off.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The clips on the high mount brake light cover are incorrectly installed.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Remove the high mount brake light cover, install the clips correctly, then reinstall the cover.

REPAIR PROCEDURE





1. Remove the high mount brake light cover.

2. Check for any clips that may still be attached to the vehicle body, and remove them.

3. Push the back half of the clips on the brake light cover as shown. Make sure the round side is facing outward.





NOTE:
If any clips are missing or damaged, replace them with new ones.

4. Reinstall the high mount brake cover, and make sure the cover fits tightly. If loose, recheck the clip installation.
