DTC B1809: Power Seat Control Unit Lost Communication with Door Multiplex Control Unit (Memory Switch Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1809 indicated?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Check for poor connections. If OK, check battery condition and charging system.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1006, B1058, and B1160 indicated?

YES - Go to step 7.

NO - Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Do the power seat control unit input test.

Is the input test OK?

YES - Faulty power seat control unit

NO - Refer to the power seat control unit input test Power Seat Control Unit Input Test and correct the cause.

7. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
8. Do the door multiplex control unit input test.

Is the input test OK?

YES - Faulty door multiplex control unit.

NO - Refer to the door multiplex control unit input test MICU Input Test and correct the cause.
