Outer Door Handle Extension Falls Off

SYMPTOM

The outer painted cover of the door handle extension falls off.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The extension (cover) and its base (holder) do not fit correctly.

CORRECTIVE ACTION





Replace the affected extension (cover) and its base.

NOTE:
The extension and its base must be replaced together.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace both the outer handle extension (cover) and the base (holder):

^ Refer to page 20-9 or 20-20 of the 04-06 TL Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keyword HANDLE, and select Front Door Outer Handle Replacement or Rear Door Outer Handle Replacement from the list.
