REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the affected taillight(s):

^ Refer to page 22-93 of the 2002-2006 RSX Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keyword TAILLIGHT, and select

Taillight Replacement from the list.

2. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the body where you removed the taillight(s).

3. Attach a new gasket onto the taillight until it is under the seating surface of the four bolts. Make sure the paper backing on the gasket faces outside.

4. Remove the paper backing from the gasket.

5. Gently attach the taillight(s) to the body. Wiggle the taillight up-and-down and side4o-side to get proper adhesion of the base gasket to the body.

NOTE:
Install the taillight carefully, to prevent the gasket from catching and sticking to other parts of the body.

6. Reconnect the connectors, then torque the nuts to 4 N.m (3 lb-ft).

7. Reinstall all removed parts.
