Radio Remote Switch Does Not Work Properly

Radio remote switch does not work properly

1. Test the radio remote switch.

Is the radio remote switch OK?

YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Replace the radio remote switch.

2. Remove the audio-HVAC display module assembly.







3. Measure resistance between the audio unit connector A (20P) terminals No. 3 and No. 11 as specified in the table.

Is resistance OK?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the audio unit and the radio remote switch. If the wires are OK, replace the cable reel.




4. Check for continuity between body ground and audio unit connector A (20P) terminals No. 3 and No. 11 individually.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair a short to ground in the wire between the audio unit and the radio remote switch. If the wires are OK, replace the cable reel.

NO - Replace the audio unit.
