DTC B1645: Driver's Door LF Antenna Circuit Short

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Select the TROUBLE CODE MENU from the HDS, then enter the SELF CHECK.
3. Do the SELF CHECK.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1645 indicated?

YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the keyless access control unit and driver's door LF antenna.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the keyless access control unit connector B (24P).
7. Disconnect the driver's door LF antenna 8P connector.




8. Check for continuity between body ground and the keyless access control unit connector B (24P) terminals No. 13 and No. 14 individually.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair a short in the wire.

NO - Go to step 9.

9. Reconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).




10. Connect the volt meter between driver's door LF antenna 8P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 7.
11. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
12. Select the FUNCTION TEST MENU from the HDS, and do the DRIVER'S ANTENNA DC OUTPUT.

Is there voltage?

YES - Replace the driver's door LF antenna.

NO - Replace the keyless access control unit.
