DTC B1646: Driver's Door LF Antenna Circuit Open1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Select the TROUBLE CODE MENU from the HDS, then enter the SELF CHECK.
3. Do the SELF CHECK.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1646 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the keyless access control unit and driver's door LF antenna.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).
7. Disconnect the driver's door LF antenna 8P connector.
8. Connect driver's door LF antenna 8P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 7 to body ground with jumper wires.
9. Check for continuity between body ground and keyless access control unit connector B (24P) terminals No. 13 and No. 14 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 10.
NO - Repair an open in the wire.
10. Remove the jumper wires from the driver's door LF antenna 8P connector. Reconnect the keyless access control unit connector B (24P).
11. Connect the voltmeter between driver's door LF antenna 8P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 7.
12. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
13. Select the FUNCTION TEST MENU from the HDS, and do the DRIVER'S ANTENNA DC OUTPUT.
Is there voltage?
YES - Replace the driver's door LF antenna.
NO - Replace the keyless access control unit.
