DTC B1647: Passenger's Door LF Antenna Circuit Short1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Select the TROUBLE CODE MENU from the HDS, then enter the SELF CHECK.
3. Do the SELF CHECK.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1647 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the keyless access control unit and passenger's door LF antenna.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the keyless access control unit connector C (17P).
7. Disconnect the passenger's door LF antenna 8P connector.
8. Check for continuity between body ground the keyless access control unit connector C (17P) and terminals No. 6 and No. 12 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES - Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO - Go to step 9.
9. Reconnect keyless access control unit connector C (17P).
10. Connect the voltmeter between passenger's door LF antenna 8P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 7.
11. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
12. Select the FUNCTION TEST MENU from the HDS, and do the FRONT PASSENGER ANTENNA DC OUTPUT.
Is there voltage?
YES - Replace the passenger's door LF antenna.
NO - Replace the keyless access control unit.
