DTC 110: Lost Communication with the PCM (PGM-FI System)

DTC 111: Lost Communication with the PCM (A/T System)

1. Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS.

Are any DTCs indicated?

YES - Troubleshoot the indicated PGM-FI system DTC(s).

NO - Go to step 2.

2. Check the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) and adaptive cruise control (ACC) switch ON.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 110 or 111 indicated?

YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the 20P connector from the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.
7. Disconnect PCM connector A (31P).




8. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and PCM connector A (31P) No. 15 terminal.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).




9. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and PCM connector A (31P) No. 26 terminal.

Is there continuity?

YES - Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.

NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANL).
