DTC 112
DTC 112: Lost Communication with the VSA Modulator-Control Unit1. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the adaptive cruise control (ACC) switch ON.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 112 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the 20P connector from the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.
7. Disconnect the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector.
8. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector No. 14 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 9.
NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).
9. Check for continuity between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector No. 30 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES - Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.
NO - Repair an open in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit and the branch of the P-CAN line (CANL).
