DTC 81-3

DTC 81-3: Left Clutch Electromagnetic Coil Magnetic Flux Characteristic

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect SH-AWD control unit connector A (26P).
3. Measure resistance between SH-AWD control unit connector terminals A4 and A17.





Is there 2.0 Ohms or less?

YES - Replace the rear differential side case.

NO - Go to step 4.

4. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
5. Do the SH-AWD differential clutch torque memorization.
6. Test-drive the vehicle at a speed of more than 1 mph (2 km/h) for at least 1 second.
7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 81-1, 81-2, 82-1, and/or 82-2 indicated?

YES - Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
