Adaptive cruise control (ACC) activation indicator (green) does not go off

1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

Is the gauge control module OK?

YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Substitute a known-good gauge control module and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original gauge control module.




2. Remove the driver's airbag, then disconnect the set/resume/cancel/adaptive cruise control (ACC) switch 20P connector (A) from the cable reel.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Watch the adaptive cruise control (ACC) activation indicator.

Does the adaptive cruise control (ACC) activation indicator go off?

YES - Test the cruise control combination switch.

NO - Repair a short to ground in the wire between the cruise control combination switch and the gauge control module.
