Cylinder Head Cover Installation

Cylinder Head Cover Installation
1. Check the spark plug seals for damage. If the seal is damaged, replace it.
2. Thoroughly clean the head cover gasket and the groove of the cylinder head cover.
3. Clean the head cover contacting surfaces with a shop towel.
4. Install the head cover gasket (A) in the groove of the cylinder head cover (B). Make sure the head cover gasket is seated securely, then install new spark plug seals (C) on the spark plug tubes, and install the cylinder head covers.





5. Visually check the spark plug seals for damage.
6. Install new cover washers (D).
7. Tighten the bolts in two or three steps. In the final step tighten all of the bolts, in sequence, 12 Nm (1.2 kgf-m, 8.7 lbf-ft) (front cover shown).





8. Install the breather hose (A).





9. Tighten the two bolts (B) securing the harness holder.
10. Tighten the bolts (C) securing the power steering hose bracket.
11. Tighten the three bolts (A) securing the harness holder, and install the dipstick (B).





12. Install the six ignition coils.
13. Install the intake manifold.
