Audio Panel Button Lights Do Not Work;
Audio Unit Button Lights Stay On With the Key Off
SYMPTOM
There are two possible symptoms for problems with the audio unit backlights:
- The audio unit panel button backlights do not work at all.
- The audio unit button backlights stay on after the ignition switch is turned to LOCK (0).
PROBABLE CAUSE
The audio unit is defective.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the audio unit with a remanufactured part.
NOTE: The inventory of remanufactured audio units has been modified to correct the lighting problems.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Replace the audio unit:
- Refer to page 23-79 of the 2007 TL Service Manual, or
- Online, enter keyword AUDIO REMOVAL, and select Audio Unit Removal/Installation from the list.
2. To confirm the repair, check the audio unit panel button light function.
