DTC B1010: MICU Lost Communication with the Door Multiplex Control Unit (Panic Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTC's, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Cycle the ignition switch to OFF, and then back ON.
3. Check for DTCs using the HDS.

Is DTC B1010 indicated?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Intermittent failure, the door multiplex control unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections. If the connections are good, check the battery condition and the charging system.

4. Check for DTCs of the relay control module using the HDS.

Is DTC B1059 also indicated?

YES - Go to the Door Multiplex Control Unit Input Test. Door Multiplex Control Unit Input Test

NO - Check for an open, or a short to power or ground in the communication circuit between the MICU and the door multiplex control unit. If the circuit is OK, replace the MICU. If the circuit is bad, repair the open, or short to power or ground.
