DTC B2204: B-CAN Communication Line Error

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A.

1. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS and DTC log data in the navigation system diagnostic mode.

Is DTC B2204 indicated with HDS and on the navigation display?

YES - Intermittent failure, B-CAN communication line is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), then clear the DTCs with the HDS and recheck if any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.

NO - If DTC B2204 indicated with DTC log data in the navigation system diagnostic mode, go to AcuraLink self-diagnostic function. Self-Diagnostic Function
