Audio Disc Does Not Eject
Special Tools Required- Radio test harness breakout box 07AAZ-SDAA100
- Radio test harness 070AZ-SEAA200
Audio disc does not eject
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Inspect the quality of the CDs, and make sure there are no adhesive labels applied to them.
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit and check to see if the disc is ejected correctly by pushing the EJECT button.
Does the disc eject properly?
YES - Operation is normal.
NO - Go to step 3.
3. Check to see if the disc is ejected with some binding or not ejected at all.
Is the disc ejected with some binding?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Go to step 5.
4. Replace the disc and recheck.
Is the disc ejected with some binding?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - The original disc is deformed.
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
6. Remove the audio unit.
NOTE: Eject all the discs before removing the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.
7. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to the radio test harness breakout box (07AAZ-SDAA100).
8. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to the printed circuit board connector.
9. Connect the ohm meter to the special tool (07AAZ-SDAA100) EJECT and GND terminals.
10. Press the EJECT button and check for continuity between the EJECT and GND terminals.
Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the audio unit.
NO - Replace the audio-HVAC display panel.
