Condenser Fan: Service and Repair

Radiator and Fan Replacement

1. Drain engine coolant.
2. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
3. A/T model: Disconnect the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses.





4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.
5. '04-05 models: Disconnect the fan motor connectors, radiator fan switch connector, and A/C compressor clutch connector.
6. '06-08 models: Disconnect the fan motor connectors, engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector.
7. Remove the upper bracket cushions, then pull up the radiator.
8. Remove the fan shroud assemblies and other parts from the radiator.
9. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.
10. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, then bleed the air from the cooling system.
