DTC Troubleshooting: B1601, B1602

DTC B1601:

Keyless Access ECU CPU Error

DTC B1602:

Keyless Access ECU EEPROM Error

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure.

2. Wait for at least 10 seconds to clear the DTCs.

3. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

4. Touch the door outer handle switch to lock the door.

5. Touch the door outer handle switch to unlock the door.

6. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.

7. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

8. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1601 and/or B1602 indicated?

YES -

Replace the keyless access control unit Keyless Access Control Unit Input Test/Replacement.�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
