Wheel Speed Sensor Inspection
NOTE: The outer board joint must be removed to inspect the magnetic encoder.
- Front driveshaft removal Front Driveshaft Removal.
- Rear driveshaft removal Rear Driveshaft Removal.
1. Clean the magnetic encoder, and make sure no metal or other debris is stuck to the magnetic encoder surface.
2. Check the magnetic encoder (A) for damage. If cracked or damaged, replace the encoder (wheel bearing).
- Front hub bearing unit replacement Service and Repair.
- Rear hub bearing unit replacement Service and Repair.

3. Measure the air gap between the wheel speed sensor (B) and the magnetic encoder all the way around while rotating the encoder.
