Torque Converter Housing Idler Gear Shaft Bearing Replacement

Special Tools Required

- Adjustable Bearing Puller, 25-40 mm 07736-A01000B
- Bearing Remover Shaft 07JAC-PH80200
- Slide Hammer 07936-371020A
- Driver Handle, 15 x 135L 07749-0010000
- Bearing Driver Attachment, 52 x 55 mm 07746-0010400

1. Remove the idler gear shaft bearing from the torque converter housing using the adjustable bearing puller, the bearing remover shaft, and the slide hammer.






2. Check the ATF guide plate (A), and replace it if it is damaged.





3. Install a new bearing (B) in the torque converter housing.

4. Drive the bearing until it bottoms in the torque converter housing using the driver handle and the bearing driver attachment.
