DTC B2249:
HIP Low Battery Voltage
1. Connect the HDS to the DLC How to Troubleshoot the AcuraLink.
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode. and then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.
4. Check for DTC with the HDS.
Is DTC B2249 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, HIP is OK at this time.�
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
6. Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit connector A (32P) terminals No. 1 and No. 28.
Is there 9 V or less?
YES -
Faulty battery or +B line.�
NO -
Substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation.�
