Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1102

DTC 1102:

USB Diag

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected with the USB.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

3. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the USB Memory info to check the USB device status.

Is the USB device information displayed?

YES -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�

NO -

Go to step 4.

4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

5. Disconnect the USB device, then reconnect it.

6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

7. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the USB Memory info to check the USB device status.

Is the USB device information displayed?

YES -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�

NO -

Go to step 8.

8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

9. Disconnect the USB device, then connect a known-good USB device to the USB port.

10. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

11. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the USB Memory info to check the USB device status.

Is the USB device information displayed?

YES -

Original USB device is faulty.�

NO -

Go to step 12.

12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

13. Make sure the USB device, the USB port, and audio-navigation unit connector K (7P) are properly connected.

Are the connectors properly connected?

YES -

Go to step 14.

NO -

Reconnect the connectors, and recheck.�

14. Disconnect the USB device.

15. Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector K (7P).

16. Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector K (7P) and the USB port 5P connector according to the table.













Is there continuity?

YES -

Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation).�

NO -

There is an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the USB port. Replace the affected shielded harness.�
