Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1409

DTC 1409:

Audio Error 9 (XM Error)

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected in the XM antenna connection.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.

1. Check the most recent DTC.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.

3. Check the most recent DTC.

Is DTC 1409 indicated at the time you cycled the vehicle?

YES -

Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the XM antenna, if they are OK, do the diagnosis for the XM antenna in the audio system.�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
