Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2706

DTC 2706:

Gyro Diag : ECU Temp XX °C

NOTE:

- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
- This navigation DTC sets when the audio-navigation unit yaw rate sensor's temperature is out of its specified range.
- Do this test only when the passenger compartment temperature is between -4 °F (-20 °C) and 158 °F (70 °C).

1. Check the most recent DTC.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.

3. Check the most recent DTC.

Is DTC 2706 indicated at the time you cycled the vehicle?

YES -

Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation).�

NO -

Go to step 4.

4. Check the audio-navigation unit cooling fan on the back of the audio-navigation unit to see if it is blocked.

Is the fan blocked?

YES -

Clean or clear the audio-navigation unit cooling fan, and recheck.�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the navigation DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation).�
