Rear Engine Mount Removal and Installation

Removal-M/T model

1. Remove the engine compartment covers Service and Repair.

2. Do the battery removal procedure Removal and Replacement.

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly Service and Repair.

4. Remove the cowl cover Service and Repair.

5. Remove the strut brace Service and Repair.

6. Remove the harness clamp (A), then disconnect the harness connectors (B) on the left strut tower.






7. Remove the two harness clamps (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose clamp (B) from the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket (C).






8. Remove the mounting bolt (A) and the two mounting nuts (B) from the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket, then tilt the under-hood fuse/relay box forward.





9. Raise the vehicle on the lift.

10. Remove the splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

11. Remove the front subframe stiffener.

12. Remove exhaust pipe A.

13. Remove the two rear engine mount bracket mounting bolts (A).





14. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

15. Lift and support the engine with a jack and a wood block under the engine/transmission.

16. Remove the harness bracket (A).





17. Remove the rear engine mount mounting bolt (B), then remove the two rear engine mount bracket mounting bolts (C).

18. Remove the rear engine mount bracket (A) from the top by sliding it out, and lifting it out from the driver's side.






19. Remove the rear engine mount mounting bolts (A).






20. Remove the rear engine mount (A).






Installation-M/T model

1. Install the rear engine mount (A).






2. Align the rear engine mount with its mounting holes and install the new rear engine mount mounting bolts (A).






3. Install the rear engine mount bracket (A) from the top by sliding it into place from the driver's side.






4. Loosely install the new two rear engine mount bracket mounting bolts (A) and the new rear engine mount mounting bolt (B).





5. Install the harness bracket (C).

6. Remove the jack and the wood block, then raise the vehicle on the lift.

7. Tighten the new two rear engine mount bracket mounting bolts (A).





8. Install exhaust pipe A.

9. Install the front subframe stiffener.

10. Install the splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

11. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

12. Tighten the two rear engine mount bracket mounting bolts (A), then tighten the rear engine mount mounting bolt (B).






13. Install the under-hood fuse/relay box with the mounting bracket, and tighten the two mounting nuts (A) and the mounting bolt (B).






14. Install the two harness clamps (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose clamp (B) to the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket (C).






15. Connect the harness connectors (A), then install the harness clamp (B) on the left strut tower.





16. Install the strut brace Service and Repair.

17. Install the cowl cover Service and Repair.

18. Install the air cleaner assembly Service and Repair.

19. Do the battery installation procedure Removal and Replacement.

20. Install the engine compartment covers Service and Repair.
