Warm Up TWC Removal/Installation

FRONT (Bank 2)

1. Remove the No. 2 the ignition coil and the ignition coil heat insulator.

2. Remove the front A/F sensor (Sensor 1) A/F Sensor Replacement and front secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) Secondary HO2S Replacement.

3. Remove the exhaust pipe A mounting nuts (front WU-TWC side); J35Z6 engine Service and Repair, J37A4 engine Service and Repair.

4. Remove the EGR pipe Service and Repair.

5. Remove the A/C condenser fan assembly Radiator and A/C Condenser Fan, Motor, and Shroud Removal and Installation and the radiator upper bracket/cushion Radiator and A/C Condenser Fan, Motor, and Shroud Removal and Installation.

6. Remove the front WU-TWC bracket, then carefully remove the front WU-TWC.





7. Carefully install the front WU-TWC with a new gasket and new self-locking nuts. Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.

8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

REAR (Bank 1)

1. Remove the strut brace Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rear A/F sensor (Sensor 1) A/F Sensor Replacement and rear secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) Secondary HO2S Replacement.

3. Remove the P/S heat shield.

4. Remove exhaust pipe A; J35Z6 engine Service and Repair, J37A4 engine Service and Repair.

5. Remove the intermediate shaft Intermediate Shaft Removal.

6. Remove the rear WU-TWC bracket, then carefully remove the rear WU-TWC.





7. Carefully install the rear WU-TWC with a new gasket and new self-locking nuts. Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.

8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
