Component Tests and General Diagnostics




Electrical Compass Unit Input Test

1. Remove the rear shelf Service and Repair.

2. Remove the bolts (A), then disconnect the 6P connector (B) from the electrical compass unit (C) and remove it.





3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to make sure they are all making good contact.

- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.

4. Reconnect the connector to the electrical compass unit. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode. and do the following input tests at the connectors.

- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all input tests prove OK, go to step 5.





5. Disconnect the 6P connector from the electrical compass unit, disconnect the audio unit connector D (20P), and do the following input tests at the connectors.





- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all input tests prove OK, the electrical compass unit is faulty; replace it, and do the compass calibration Adjustments.
