Front Seat Rail Replacement

Check the operation of the driver's seat position sensor Driver's Seat Position Sensor Operation Check after driver's seat position sensor replacement.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Adjust the steering column to the full tilt up position, and to the full telescopic in position. Adjust the seat-back recline to a middle position.
2. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.
3. Remove these items:
- Front seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal/Installation
- Seat belt buckle
- Seat position sensor Service and Repair
4. Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the upper rail outer cover (C).
5. Detach the clip, then remove the upper rail inner cover (A).
6. Disconnect the slide motor connector (A), then detach the harness clip (B).
7. Remove the bolts with a TORX T30 bit, then remove the front seat rail (A).
8. Install the seat rail in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- Check the seat slide operation.
