Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Error code: XM ANTENNA or XM LOADING is displayed

Error code: XM ANTENNA or XM LOADING is displayed (without AcuraLink)

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals.
- Check for other error codes Audio System Error Codes, and check the XM Antenna Signal Reception Level.

1. Check the connectors at the XM receiver.

Are the connectors connected?

YES -

Go to step 2.

NO -

Reconnect the connector(s), and recheck. If the error message does not go away, go to step 2.

2. Check the XM antenna 2P connector.

Is the connector connected?

YES -

Go to step 3.

NO -

Reconnect the connector, and recheck. If the error message does not go away, go to step 6.

3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

4. Check for other XM error codes.

Are there other XM error codes displayed?

YES -

Go to Error Codes Audio System Error Codes.

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Substitute a known-good XM antenna Removal and Replacement, and recheck the error code.

Is the error message gone?

YES -

Replace the original XM antenna Removal and Replacement.�

NO -

Go to step 7.

7. Substitute a known-good XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation, and recheck the error code.

Is the error message gone?

YES -

Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead, and recheck. If the XM receiver receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the original XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation.�

NO -

Replace the XM antenna lead.�
