Rear Seat Removal/Installation

Seat-Back

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the right seat-back (A).

1. Fold down the right seat-back.

2. Release the Velcro fasteners (B), and pull back the seat-back cover (C), then remove the bolts.

3. Release the hooks (D) of both pivot brackets (E).





2. Remove the bolt, then remove the center pivot bracket (A).





3. If necessary, remove the bushing (B).

4. Remove the left seat-back (A).

1. Fold down the left seat-back.

2. Pull the center seat belt (B) out through the slit (C) in the seat belt guide (D).

3. Release the Velcro fastener (E), and pull back the seat-back cover (F), then remove the bolt.

4. Release the hooks (G) of the pivot bracket (H).





5. Extend the center seat belt (A) to remove the left seat-back (B), then release the pivot shaft (C) from the center pivot bracket (D).






6. If necessary, remove the bushing (A) from the center pivot bracket (B).






7. If necessary, release the hook (A) and remove the center pivot cover (B) from the center pivot bracket (C).





8. Remove the seat side bolster.

9. Detach the harness clip (A), and remove the bolt, then remove the pivot bracket (B).






10. Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clip and the hooks into place securely.
- Guide the center seat belt over the front of the seat-back as you install the seat-back.
- Make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt before attaching the rear seat-back.

Seat Cushion

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Fold down both seat-backs.

2. Pull back the front area of the trunk floor.

3. Remove the bolt securing the seat cushion (A) from behind the left seat-back (B).





4. Raise both seat-backs.

5. While pushing down on the seat cushion (A), pull the seat hook handles (B) to release the hooks (C).





6. Pull back the seat cushion to pull out the seat belt buckles (D) from the holes in the seat cushion. Release the center seat belt (E) and the center seat belt buckle (F) from their slits (G), and remove the seat cushion.

7. Install the seat cushion (A) in the reverse order of removal. When installing the seat cushion, first install the seat belt buckles (B) into the holes (C). Slip the center seat belt buckle (D) and the center seat belt (E) through the slits (F) in the seat cushion.

NOTE: Make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belts before installing the seat cushion.






Seat Side Bolster

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the seat cushion.

2. Remove the bolt securing the seat side bolster (A).





3. Fold down the seat-back.

4. Lift up the seat side bolster (A) to release the hooks (B), then remove the seat side bolster.





5. Install the seat side bolster in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Guide the belts over the front of the seat side bolster as you install the bolster.
- Make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belts before attaching the seat side bolster.
