DTC Troubleshooting: B2969

DTC B2969:

Climate Control Unit Lost Communication with Driver's MICU (WIPSW message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in the B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, and then the ON mode.

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS.

5. Check the DTCs.

Is DTC B2969 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 6.

NO -

Intermittent failure. Check for loose wires or poor connections on the climate control unit connector C (20P).�

6. Check for DTCs with the HDS (Do all system scan).

Are any of the following DTCs indicated; B1958, B1063, or B1156 indicated?

YES -

Do the driver's MICU Input Test Drivers and Passengers MICU Input Test.�

NO -

Do the Climate Control Power and Ground Troubleshooting Climate Control Power And Ground Circuit Troubleshooting.�
