Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) DTC Troubleshooting: 24
DTC 24
Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor Diagnosis Malfunction
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 24 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
4. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).�
NO -
Go to step 5.
5. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
6. Disconnect the yaw rate-acceleration sensor 4P connector.
7. Disconnect the ACC unit 20P connector.
8. Wait for 30 seconds, then check for continuity between ACC unit 20P connector terminal No. 10 and yaw rate-acceleration sensor 4P connector terminal No. 3, and between ACC unit 20P connector terminal No. 20 and yaw rate-acceleration sensor 4P connector terminal No. 2.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, update the ACC unit Programming and Relearning, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit Service and Repair.�
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and yaw rate-acceleration sensor.�
