DTC Troubleshooting: B1575
DTC B1575:
Auto Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1575 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
5. Disconnect driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector P (30P).
6. Disconnect the automatic lighting sensor 5P connector.
7. Check for continuity between driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector P (30P) terminals No. 14, No. 27, and No. 30 and automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1, No. 3, and No. 5 respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 8.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
8. Check for continuity between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short in the wire between terminals No. 1 and No. 3.
NO -
Go to step 9.
9. Disconnect driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector E (16P).
10. Check for continuity between body ground and driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector E (16P) terminal No. 9 and driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector P (30P) terminal No. 1 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 11.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire or a poor ground (G502, G601).
11. Reconnect driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector P (30P).
12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
13. Measure the voltage between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 5.
Is there about 5 V?
YES -
Faulty automatic lighting/sunlight sensor; replace the sunlight sensor Service and Repair.
NO -
Faulty MICU; replace the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box Drivers Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box (MICU) Removal/Installation.
