DTC B2142:

Adaptive Front-Lighting Control Unit Sub CPU Communication Error (CPU Error)

DTC B2143:

Adaptive Front-Lighting Control Unit Sub CPU Memory Error (CPU Error)

DTC B2144:

Adaptive Front-Lighting Control Unit Sub CPU EEPROM Error

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B2142, B2143, and/or B2144 indicated?

YES -

Replace the adaptive front lighting control unit Adaptive Front Lighting Control Unit Input Test/Replacement, and do the adaptive front lighting control unit learning procedure Adaptive Front Lighting Control Unit Learning Procedure.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
