Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) DTC Troubleshooting: 113
DTC 113:
Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module
1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function Testing and Inspection.
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES -
Go to step 2.
NO -
Replace the gauge control module, and recheck.
2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
4. Press the ACC switch ON.
5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 113 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Disconnect the ACC unit 20P connector.
8. Disconnect gauge control module connector B (28P).
9. Check for continuity between ACC unit 20P connector terminal No. 10 and gauge control module connector B (28P) terminal No. 16.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 10.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (F-CAN H).
10. Check for continuity between ACC unit 20P connector terminal No. 20 and gauge control module connector B (28P) terminal No. 15.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, update the ACC unit Testing and Inspection, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit Service and Repair.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (F-CAN L).
