Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2707
DTC 2707:
Mic Diag
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected in the microphone circuit.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
1. Clear the hard error code.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode.
4. Check the System Links.
Is the Mic icon red?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Go to step 10.
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at these connector:
- HandsFreeLink control unit 28P connector
- Roof console 28P connector
- Navigation control unit connector D (5P)
Are the connections OK?
YES -
Go to step 7.
NO -
Repair poor connections or loose terminals.
7. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
9. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1775 or B1776 indicated?
YES -
Troubleshooting the indicated DTC.
NO -
Go to step 10.
10. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode.
11. Select the Mic in the System Links.
12. Press the HFL TALK button on the steering wheel, then check the Mic Level.
Is the microphone level OK?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
NO -
Replace the HFL-navigation microphone Service and Repair.
13. Measure the voltage between body ground and the roof console 28P connector terminals No. 4 and No. 28 individually.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to step 14.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire(s) between the No. 6 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the HFL-navigation microphone, or the No. 32 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the HFL-navigation microphone.
14. Measure the voltage between the roof console 28P connector terminal No. 13 and body ground.
Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES -
Go to step 15.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the HFL-navigation microphone and body ground (G601).
15. Disconnect the roof console 28P connector and the HandsFreeLink control unit 28P connector.
16. Check for continuity between HandsFreeLink control unit 28P connector terminals No. 13 and No. 14 to terminal No. 12.
Is there continuity?
YES -
There is a short in the harness. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO -
Replace the HFL-navigation microphone Service and Repair.
