Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) DTC Troubleshooting: 73
DTC 73:
Variation failure of the PCM
NOTE: When DTC 113 is also indicated, troubleshooting of DTC 113 should be done first 113.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 73 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
4. Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated PGM-FI system DTC(s).
NO -
Go to step 5.
5. Check for gauge control module DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated gauge control module DTC(s).
NO -
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, update the ACC unit Testing and Inspection, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit Service and Repair.
