Doorlocks wont function with the Remote, But function properly with the door Lock Switch and the Door Key Cylinder switch




Keyless/Power Door Locks/Security System Symptom Troubleshooting - Doors will not unlock (or lock) with the remote, but will unlock (or lock) with the door lock switch and the door key cylinder switch

Doors will not unlock (or lock) with the remote, but will unlock (or lock) with the door lock switch and the door key cylinder switch

NOTE: Before troubleshooting, check the B-CAN DTCs.
If any DTC is indicated, refer to B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A, and troubleshoot the indicated DTCs first.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Remove the built-in key from the ignition switch if inserted.

3. Close and lock the doors with the built-in key.

4. Try to lock/unlock the doors with the remote.

Do the door lock actuators work normally?

YES -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Open the driver's door.

Does the key-in reminder chime sound?

YES -

Faulty ignition key switch, or short to ground in the wire related to the ignition switch. Repair the wire as needed.

NO -

Go to step 6.

6. Do the remote test Keyless Entry Transmitter (Remote) Test.

Is the remote OK?

YES -

Substitute a known-good driver's under-dash fuse/relay box (MICU) Drivers Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box (MICU) Removal/Installation, and recheck. If there is still a problem, substitute a known-good immobilizer control unit-receiver Immobilizer Control Unit-Receiver Replacement, and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original immobilizer control unit-receiver.

NO -

Replace the remote.
