Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the remote even though a door has been opened
NOTE:
- Opening the trunk does not cancel this function; only an open door signal cancels the automatic relock.
- Before troubleshooting, check the B-CAN DTCs. If any DTC is indicated, refer to B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A, and troubleshoot the indicated DTCs first.
- The door switch is built into the door latch assembly.
1. Select the interior light switch (DOOR) position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Watch the front individual map light and the multi-information display (MID).
Does the front individual map light and multi-information display (MID) come on when each door is opened, and go off when each door is closed?
YES -
Substitute a known-good driver's under-dash fuse/relay box (MICU) Drivers Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box (MICU) Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom goes away, replace the original driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the driver's MPCS unit and the driver's door switch, the front passenger's MPCS unit and the front passenger's door switch, the left rear power window switch and the left rear door switch, and the right rear power window switch and the right rear door switch, or a bad door switch.
