Center Console Removal / Installation




Center Console Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. Remove these items:

- Dashboard center trims, both sides Dashboard Center Trim Removal / Installation
- Center console panel Center Console Panel Removal / Installation
- Center console rear trim Center Console Rear Trim Removal / Installation
- Passenger's dashboard undercover Passenger's Dashboard Undercover Removal / Installation
- Console carpet trims, both sides

2. Disconnect the center console RF unit connector (A). Remove the center console RF unit mounting bolts, then remove the center console RF unit (B).






3. Loosen the parking brake lever mounting bolts.






4. Disconnect the center console subharness connector (A), the parking brake switch connector (B), the USB adapter unit connector (C), and the seat ventilation control unit connector (D), then detach the harness clips (E).






5. Remove the screws securing the center console (A).






6. Remove the bolts securing the center console (A).






7. Remove the center console (A).

1. Detach the clips (B) securing the passenger's front console cover (C).

2. Detach the clips (D) by pulling out the console from both sides, and pull up the console to release the guide pin (E).





8. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
